Annulus Pressure Relief System – Oil & Gas Well Treatment & Intervention (10,000 psi)
M&W Engineering invented the Annulus Pressure Relief System (APRS) for oil and gas well treatment and intervention up to 10,000 psi (689 bar). The system is based on burst discs which can easily be installed and replaced at sea. It is significantly more accurate and safe-to-use than other comparable systems such as traditional PRVs and is type-approved by DNV. The APRS has been used world-wide by 10+ oil and gas companies and service companies such as Shell, BP, Equinor, Aker BP, Maersk Oil & Gas (now TotalEnergies), Hess, Itacha Energy, Halliburton, Schlumberger and Stimwell Services.
