Mark & Wedell invented the Annulus Pressure Relief System (APRS) together with Maersk Oil & Gas, now part of TotalEnergies, as a trusted overpressure protection system for oil and gas well stimulation and intervention up to 10,000 psi (690 bar).
APRS is an advanced, yet simple-to-install and simple-to-use, system utilizing burst disc technology adapted from the nuclear power industry.
Mark & Wedell supplies burst discs / rupture discs for reliable overpressure and explosion pressure relief in gases, liquids and industrial pressure safety systems, tailored to application-specific requirements.
Burst discs can be specified for a wide range of pressure and temperature ratings and delivered with relevant certification or documentation according to the application and customer requirements.
Mark & Wedell supplies explosive vent panels / explosion vent panels for power plants, process industries and industrial installations requiring controlled explosion pressure relief.
Vent panels can be supplied in square or round configurations and customized for outdoor applications. Depending on the application, panels can be designed to withstand pressure waves and help prevent vacuum damage, with calibrated bursting pressure specified according to project requirements.
