Over the years, M&W JAWO Sampling has supplied seven sampling solutions to the Elkem Group and in 2008 supplied Elkem Solar in Iceland with a sampling system for silicon.
Elkem Iceland became operational in 1979 with only one furnace. Since then two more have been added. Its main product is ferrosilicon (FeSi), an element used in the steel industry. It is the second largest of its kind in the world with an annual production capacity of 120,000 mt.
