M&W Engineering - Machine Workshop
Our machine workshop consists of 15+ machines where the majority are CNC lathing and CNC milling machines supported by 3 tonnes crane capacity, along with 10+ skilled operators. In addition, we have experienced employees who work with 3D printing where we can turn your ideas into reality. This allows us to manufacture products under strict requirements from our clients for both small and large orders
Our machine workshop is part of our general ISO 9001:2015 certification to ensure the very best quality and production standards for our customers. In addition, we have defined standards related to environmental management based on ISO-14001 and regarding a safe and healthy workplace based on ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety. Quality management is an integral part of our business model, and we have access to state-of-the-art coordinate measuring machines (CMM), required for maintaining high-quality standards through our 3D measurement capabilities for final dimension control and reports made when applicable.
We have experience working with a wide variety of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, duplex, copper, inconel, hastelloy, plastic and much more. We work with technical drawings in standard formats, such as Inventor, SolidWorks etc. and can work in both 2D and 3D models. We use MasterCam for our production in addition to 2D drawings. This enables our customers to save time, by sending us instructions and drawings by mail, for example as STEP, DWG and DXF files.
We have 50 years of experience with projects which require experience in development of specialty machinery and custumised solutions including production and assembly of relevant parts.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence GLOBAL S measuring machine
The precise 3D measurement capabilities of the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence GLOBAL S allows for final dimension control to be performed, and reports made when applicable. This enables us to provide full product documentation hence traceability upon request.
We have experienced engineers that work with 3D printing where we can turn your ideas into reality. We can make quick and competent parts of high quality with our 3D print, such as prototypes, special tools, help material or other components for your company’s needs.
We help you from start to finish regardless of it being just 3D print or from design to 3D print of a prototype or small series.
We primarily 3D print in plastic such as: ABS, PLA, Nylon, PET, Carbon, PBT+ and many others.
We are also able to print with PVA support material. As well as printing in multiple colors.
We are located in Kvistgaard, 30 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark with 4,000 m2 of facilities including 4 modern production facilities divided between machinery, welding and electrical workshops (3,000 m2) along with our engineering and administrative offices (1,000 m2). We employ 40+ mechanical and electrical engineers, machinists, welders and industrial electricians with our three departments; M&W Jawo Sampling, M&W Big Science and M&W Engineering.
Our engineers primarily work with the development of special machines and measurement instruments. We have a deep insight in analysis of mechanical, electrical and thermodynamic systems. Furthermore we are knowledgeable in measurement theory and techniques. Finally, we are accustomed to provide extensive documentation and quality control.

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) - Machined parts for the sub-sea sector since 1997
Mark & Wedell has supplied NOV (previously NKT Flexibles) with a large variety of machined components since 1997 such as inner and outer casings, inner liner holders, outer sheath expanders, end sleeves etc. for cables and flexible pipes.
Being a selected supplier to NOV requires high manufacturing standards and a strong focus on quality as the components are used in infrastructure for ultra-deep waters (depths beyond 5000 ft/1,524 m).
Novo Nordisk - HPLC columns for insulin production - Co-operation for 40+ years
M&W Engineering has developed and manufactured different solutions and components for insulin production for Novo Nordisk since the 1980’s.
Including the production and installation of over 80+ HPLC (high-pressure/performance liquid chromatography) columns for insulin production – the majority of which are used in the daily production of insulin at various Novo Nordisk plants.
Forsea (Scandlines) – Control systems and signal communication - Co-operation since 2002
M&W Engineering’s electrical engineering department has developed and maintained several harbor control systems (including the signal communication) as well as individual components for Forsea (previously Scandlines) since 2002.
Chemours – Customized vibration conveyor for Fluoropolymer - 2018
M&W was contacted by Chemours’ consulting engineering company, Jacobs Engineering, who were searching for a company that could design and manufacture a 100% customized vibration conveyor for polymer products.
Coloplast – Adhesive filling and Big Bag machines - Co-operation since the 1970’s
Mark & Wedell Engineering has supplied Coloplast with a large variety of machinery and components for production since the early 1970’s such as adhesive filling machines and big bag machines.
Furthermore Mark & Wedell Engineering has manufactured and maintained a various number of coolers, piping systems and has been involved in different development / design collaborations.
Maersk Oil & Gas and Aker BP – development of Annulus Pressure Relief System for oil and gas well intervention/stimulation - 1995 and 2020
In 1995, M&W Engineering was contacted by Maersk Oil & Gas (now Total) to come up with a better, safer and more reliable pressure protection system to be used for well stimulation jobs. Other technologies had proven unreliable and insufficient.
As part of this partnership M&W Engineering developed an entirely new system for oil and gas wells, called the Annulus Pressure Relief System (APRS) based on easy to install and replaceable burst disc technology including all relevant certificates and Type Approval Documentation from DnV.
The first version of the APRS was certified to a working pressure of up to 6,000 psi (413 bar). An upgraded version for working at even higher pressure loads up to 10,000 psi (689 bar) was subsequently developed for Aker BP in 2020.
Novozymes - Mobile Dividing plant – 2010
In 2010, Novozymes came to M&W Engineering with the aim of improving their sampling process. A few months later M&W Engineering had developed and constructed a dividing plant for representative division of material for the customer’s production facility in Bagsvaerd.
The Mobile Dividing Plant can be installed in conjunction with a sampling plant or placed completely independent of the sampling operation and is available for dry powder and bulk materials with corn size up to 15 mm and can be provided with up to 20 sample outlets.
Snorre Expansion Project - 2019
The Snorre field has two platforms named Snorre A and Snorre B which went into production in 1992. The Snorre Expansion project includes upgraded facilities of Snorre A as well as new subsea templates. It is expected to increase the production life by 30 years. The Snorre field lies 200km west of Floro in the Norwegian North Sea.
Sepia oil field development project - 2019
The Sepia Oilfield development project includes the joint development of the Sépia oilfield, previously simply known as the north-eastern area of Tupi, and the Sépia Leste discovery, which are located approximately 185km and 250km respectively off the Rio de Janeiro coastline in Brazil.
Anyala and Madu Fields Development Project - 2019
The Anyala and Madu fields are in oil mining leases (OML) 83 and 85 in shallow waters of the Niger Delta, approximately 40km offshore the Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
Ichthys LNG - 2018
Ichthys LNG is located 220 kilometers offshore Western Australia and went into production in July 2018. Production of 8.9 million tonnes of LNG and 1.6 million tonnes of LPG per annum. Gas and condensate from the Ichthys field is transported 820 km to onshore processing at Darwin.
Johan Castberg - 2018
The Johan Castberg project comprises three oil fields, namely Johan Castberg, Havis, and Drivis, located 100km northwest of the Snøhvit-field in the Barents Sea, offshore Norway.
Troll - 2018
Troll oil and gas field is located 60 km west of Sognefjorden in the Norwegian North Sea, at water depths of 300m and is the biggest oil and gas producing field in Norway.
Shah Deniz 2 Gas Development Project - 2018
Shah Deniz 2 is located in the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan. It is one of the largest energy projects in the world. The field was discovered in 1999.
Nova Field Development Project - 2017
The Nova field (formerly known as Skarfjell) is located in the north eastern part of the Norwegian North Sea. The field was discovered in 2012 and plans for development was proposed in 2018. Production is expected to commence in 2021 and it is estimated to produce 60-140 million barrels of oil during its development.
Vigdis Oil and Gas Field Development Project - 2017
Vigdis oil and gas field is located in the Tampan area of the North Sea, at a depth of 280m. The field was first discovered in 1986 and production commenced in 1997.
Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Development Project - 2017
The Offshore Cape Three Points project is the development of oil and gas fields, Sankofa Main, Sankofa East, Gye Nyame, Sankofa East Cenomanian and Sankofa East Campanian. The fields are located in the Tano Basin and are at depths of 600-1000m.
Espoir Oil and Gas Field Development Project - 2017
The Espoir field is located 19 km offshore south of Jacqueville at depths ranging from 100-600m. It has an estimated 180 billion cubic feet of natural gas as well as 93 million barrels of oil in recoverable reserves.
Gina Krog Field Development Project - 2017
The Gina Krog oil and gas field is located in the North Sea, Norway, at a water depth of 120m. There are currently 11 production wells with the potential for 9 more, as well as tie-in to new discoveries.
Lula Extremo Sul Development Project - 2017
Lula Extremo Sul is a subfield of Lula located in the Santos Basin, Brazil, at a depth of 2,150m. The Lula Field is one of the largest deep-water fields in the world.
Kepler Oil and Gas Field Development Project - 2017
The Kepler field is part of the Na Kika fields located in the Missisipi Canyon blocks in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 140 miles south-east of New Orleans, Louisiana, US. The field was discovered in 1987.

Mark & Wedell is ISO 9001:2015 certified as quality management is an integral part of our business model. We implement this in practice by tracking the following three steps: quality planning, quality control and quality improvement.
Mark & Wedell has defined standards related to environmental management based on ISO-14001 which is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Our objective is to improve our environmental footprint as much as possible and thereby reducing energy consumption and pollution (waste, air, smell, and noise). Each year we produce environmental accounts including data regarding: Consumption of: Energy (natural gas, power and oil), raw materials (steel, aluminum, copper, plastic etc.) and ancillary materials (gas, refrigerant/lubricant, welding electrodes etc.) as well as waste/ by-products (iron, steel, paper/cardboard, plastic, paint etc.) and air emissions from production. We comply with all regulatory requirements regarding environmental protection and pollution prevention and has received Environmental Approval by the municipality of Helsinore in Denmark.
Safety and working environment
Mark & Wedell has defined standards to provide a safe and healthy workplace based on ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety. By following this framework we endeavor to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions. To ensure this in practice we have formed a Security and Health Committee with representatives from different parts of the organization including owner-representative. The Security and Health Committee meets 1-2 per annum to discuss and follow-up on potential safety and health issues or ad hoc when certain issues occur. In addition, the Danish Working Environment Authority inspects our production and administration facilities from time to time. Mark & Wedell has earned a green smiley (best category) as a result.
