Troll oil and gas field is located 60 km west of Sognefjorden in the Norwegian North Sea, at water depths of 300m and is the biggest oil and gas producing field in Norway.
Regular oil production from the 22m to 26m thick reservoirs in the Troll West oil province began in late 1995, with gas production starting from Troll East in June 1996.
Owners are Equinor, Petoro, Norske Shell, Total and ConocoPhillips.
