Convection (CvH).

Convection (CVH)

  • Current: 0,1-30 kA
  • Coolant: Convection (Wet LHe bath + GHe vapor cooling)

The Convection of Helium (CvHe) model is a highly efficient, convection-cooled pair of current leads.

The system features a “wet” cold terminal that is immersed directly in a liquid helium (LHe) bath.

To maximize thermal efficiency, the cold helium gas (GHe) generated from boil-off is funnelled through internal channels within the leads, actively cooling them from the inside. By capturing and utilizing this vapor, the CvHe design delivers superior cooling performance compared to standard conduction models.

This configuration is optimized for demanding applications with operating currents ranging from 100 A up to 30 kA.
