M&W JAWO Sampling supplied the Ma’aden Aluminum project with a complete sampling system used for representative sampling of the mined material upstream the train filling silo. The system comprises a cross belt sampler, crushers, conveyors, divider and a sampling magazine.
In 2009, Ma’aden established Ma’aden Aluminum with Alcoa, the world’s third-largest aluminum producer, to build an integrated aluminum project in Saudi Arabia consisting of a bauxite mine, a refinery, a smelter and one of the world’s most advanced rolling mills with a production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes.
Ma’aden is the largest multi-commodity mining (gold, phosphate, aluminum, industrial minerals and copper) and metals company in the Middle East and one of the ten largest mining companies by market cap.
